WURTSBORO – A man was killed in an auto accident on the Route 17 westbound exit 113 in Wurtsboro Tuesday afternoon.

The accident was reported around 1:45 p.m. with word of a person trapped underneath the vehicle. And that occurred when the victim got out of his SUV to check a problem and the truck rolled on top of him.

Initially a medivac helicopter was called to transport injured person, but moments later it was cancelled and EMS workers called for a coroner to report to the scene.
